Ceau!
In the last week, we have said goodbyes and hellos. We had a sweet time with friends and family the weekend before we left. Saturday before we left, we had bbq and brunswick stew, finished off with smores while we watched the Georgia game with my whole family. Sunday, we had a goodbye party in Marietta with a sweet time of prayer, and Monday and Tuesday were a whirlwind as we finished packing.
Here are a few pictures of our first few days here in Timisoara. We have also had many fun hellos as we are running into old friends on the street and meeting new ones too. We are learning our way around the city again and I am learning where each bus and tram goes.
Excited to be here. This is outside of our friend’s house.
First day in Romania we visited Opera Square.
Another part of Opera Square.
The “farmer’s market.” I was so excited to find the outdoor market, even though it is cold out.
We found ice skates at the store. Not something we are used to seeing.
Jeff and I enjoyed plescavita
Yesterday it rained and flurried. This view is at the bus stop outside the mall.
Inside the mall it is decorated for christmas!
I am having a coke to help with jet lag, trying to stay awake on day 1.
At the mall trying to get winter hats and maybe some coffee 🙂
This is a catholic church at a nearby bus stop.
Walking down the street from Betel church.
Our tram stop at Sfanta Maria, or “saint Mary”
Sfanta Maria tram stop. Waiting for the number 7.
This is Posta Mare, the “big post office”, which was to our right. I love the architecture of these buildings.

We are so glad that you made it safely to Romania and look forward to seeing how your ministry progresses! Praying for you both!
Lauren and Jeff, glad you are safe and settleing in. We have had some cold weather the last few days but wal-mart was crowded today, getting last miniute things for Thanksgiving. We will have our family get together Fri. at noon. Dennis & family have a ballgame that night. We will remember you while we are decorating the tree. Love GM
