We have all been told marriage changes you. We have seen it before. But after only 2 1/2 years, we usually only see how we are different and how to compromise. However, last week we caught ourselves in the change.
Lauren: “What do I need to get at the non-stop (a small store here)? Oh! I need to get some more fruit. We have eaten all of it!”
Jeff: “Can you get some mushrooms and I can make tonight’s dinner vegetarian? “
If you know us, you will truly understand the awesomeness of this conversations! When we started dating, Lauren was opposed to most fruits because of the texture and Jeff was a full time meat and carbs kinda guy.

We are also seeing ourselves change as we get more comfortable here in Timisoara. We know which store has the cheapest milk, juice, veggies, and cheese. We are learning the timing of our bills and where to pay them.
Even though there are still cultural difference moments, we have been here for 4 months and we are feeling more settled…finding our rhythm here…and enjoying the time we have to learn the language and build relationships.
“Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” Isaiah 64:8
